This is the beach at Had Salad,north Koh Phangan and as you can see, it's incredibly busy! It is a beautiful beach, but the water is really shallow, so the swimming isn't so great.But since I just wanted to laze around, that really wasn't an issue. The 3rd photo is of the sunset from "Ben's" restaurant where we had dinner on the first night, And it was so good we went back with Dave & Scott on the 3rd night.
Had Salad was just what I needed, somewhere just to sit for a few days and not have to worry too much about where we were going next and how we were going to get there. Although at one point Betsy did suggest crossing the Malaysian border by bus, which was something I was never going to do. Crossing the land border between Malaysia and Thailand by train was enough of a worry as it was, going against U.K. government advice. I will return here one day.
