Back to Chicago

The train was late getting back to Chicago, but no problem. I headed back to the hostel and had some breakfast with Collette and a few other people. We joined forces with a Mexican guy,Jose and a Japanese girl,Aya and went to the Sears Tower. This was once the tallest building in the world and is still the tallest building in the U.S.. We went up to the observation floor, which has a bit of a twist. On the side of the tower they have built four glass boxes that jut out from the building. So you can step into these boxes and look straight down through the glass. And of course there is a photo opportunity here. We all had out photo taken but I think I made everyone smile but being absolutely terrified to walk into the glass box. Logically I knew that it wouldn't break and I wouldn't die but that was not what I was feeling. I went as far as I needed to go into the box to have the photo taken and then ran back onto the floor proper. Impressively the photo was quite good and not a trace of terror on my face.
Collette and I peeled off from the other two and headed to the Greyhound station to buy our tickets for the next day. We spoke to a woman who was a right snotty cow, so we decided that we didn't want to give her our money and booked tickets with Megabus. Bonus really as the Megabus tickets were a lot cheaper. We then walked across town to the Shedd aquarium. I didn't really enjoy the aquarium and don't think I'll go to another. I've realised that I don't like fish. We went back to the hostel, I needed to get checked in and showered for my night at the orchestra.
Collette and I were joined by Georgina and headed to a restaurant a couple of blocks from the hostel and just around the corner from the symphony hall. Collette had been here before and said the food was good. The food was good, if only I had gotten to eat my food in the restaurant. We ordered about 6.30pm and I asked the server where our meals were twenty five minutes later and explained that I needed to leave at 7.30pm. She said that she would check. I got my main course at 7.25pm in a to go box, at least I had been served and eaten my salad. Collette said she would take my dinner back to the hostel with her and I rushed off to the symphony hall.
The concert was excellent, I am so happy that I got to see it. It was well worth not eating dinner and on the bright side I would have lunch for the next day! I was off to St Louis.
