I didn't at first realise that this was the road down to the pier and so wasn't concerned about standing in the middle to have my photo taken! A walk along the pier is something all good tourist must do and I fully intend to do as many touristy things as I possibly can while I am in the U.S. There are so many places I haven't been to in England because only "tourists" go there and I am not a tourist in England. In fact I have probably seen more of Japan than I have of my home country.
Muscle Beach and as you can see, not much muscles! I did see a few more people later in the morning and they did have visible muscles. So not all was lost.
