The big white Buddha, the base is decorated with images of monks and nuns who set themselves on fire to protest against the regime of President Diem. The president was a catholic and tried to repress Buddhists.
Cal and I enjoying an afternoon bottle of beer and the gang enjoying a Friday night dinner.
